Are you customer service oriented with a great work ethic? Do you like to keep busy and stay organized? If so, join us as our new staff cook with open availability between the hours of 6am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. This is a permanent, full-time position!

The cook is responsible for maintaining service of the cafeteria food in a customer service oriented manner. The role will organize and set up the equipment and workstation within the cafeteria and prep kitchen, while following FoodSafe regulations. The Cook will work diligently to maintain the cafeteria and prep kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner according to established expectations.

Your contributions to the team include:

  • Ability to cook in all areas:  sandwich, salad and Hot side.
  • Ensure all food is prepared fresh and is of the highest quality.
  • Must have broad culinary knowledge as our menu changes daily.
  • Must be able to adhere to timeline production.
  • As well as buffet must have ability to prepare, cook, and present plated meals.
  • Ensure that the kitchen prep area is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.
  • Follow all recipes as they apply to any food products that are being prepared.
  • Always follow established sanitation procedures
  • Ensure food is stored in appropriate containers, labeled, and rotated to ensure high standards of freshness, minimizing waste and maximizing quality.

What you need to be successful:

  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience working in catering and plated food services.
  • Strong knowledge of all basic cooking techniques
  • Experience in high production volume restaurants
  • Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for lengths of time.
  • Must have knowledge of Food Premises regulations.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Proactive, team player, problem solver, Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven.
