Job Title: Commissioning Team Lead
Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Job Description

As part of our Facilities team, the Commissioning Team Lead works closely with Project Coordinators and Commissioning Teams to complete the commissioning of new and operational multi-family residential properties to ensure all aspects meet Broadstreet Properties standards. Within this role, commissioning is defined as the process of setting up and testing the building, grounds, and property functions to ensure they uphold the brand and operational targets.

Your contributions to the team include:

  • Ensuring commissioning tasks are done on time and on budget
  • Maintaining schedules for in-field staff
  • Ensuring proper resources are allocated to each commissioning task
  • Educating and training all commissioning functions and tasks to in-field staff
  • Auditing all sites during commissioning to ensure desired scope, quality, and schedules are met
  • Training Leasing Agents and Site Managers on operational functions¬†
  • Selecting teams of Maintenance Technicians for commissioning projects
  • Ensuring all team timesheets, overtime, LOA, and commissioning premiums are approved and correct for commissioning Teams
  • Creating and managing commissioning schedules with Project Coordinators
  • When not completing commissioning, reporting to the Facilities Supervisor and completing building maintenance and project tasks as assigned

What you need to be successful:

  • Successful completion of a Building Maintenance Worker program or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the rental management industry
  • Previous experience leading teams
  • Mechanically inclined with experience using hand tools
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Willing and able to travel as needed
